Where in San Francisco can someone get really good sushi? G and I are celebrating our birthdays while we're out there by skipping dinner here and going for something good! He wants sushi...any ideas??
Oh yeah, and neither of them will break the bank. Skip the sushi restaurants in Japantown. The last time we tried one there, we felt like we needed to take out a loan to eat.
I am the queen of traveling on a budget. Plus I also understand the price shock of being here in San Fran as compared to the east coast.
And at Akiko's, if you like lemon, get a Lizzie roll - beautiful thin slices of lemon layered over a salmon roll (I think it's a salmon roll. It doesn't really matter because it is DELICIOUS!)

They also have a sister restaurant called Bistro Chin that has good sushi too. This one is known for their green tea ice cream.
