Watership Down
Jan. 24th, 2006 02:01 pmWhile we were in Vegas, I finished "Watership Down" that I had borrowed from Chris. When I first picked up the book, I thought to myself "A book about bunnies? What the heck kind of book is this? It probably won't be very good, but I don't have any books right now, so I guess I'll take it."
Well. This book proved me wrong.
I LOVED IT. I think it's one of the best books I've ever read. And the only part that made me cry was the very last sentence. (I think that might be because I read the preface and I knew a father told this story to his daughter's, so I had some idea of how things would work out in the end.) There were parts of the action that were so...so....heart pounding, I guess I would say, that I literally skipped ahead until I got to the resolution of the matter.
I would STRONGLY reccommend this book to everyone.
