This morning has not gone well for me.
First, although I was THRILLED to be wearing flip-flops yesterday, I was NOT so thrilled to get the blisters that go along with breaking in flip-flops for the first time all season. Ouchies. And they're on the bottom of my feet between the big toe and the one next to it. So they hurt a TON. And I hurt my heel again, since Target flip-flops are not the most well made in the world.
Second, I had to haul all my stuff to my car this morning, which threw off my normal routine, which made me leave my lunch on the counter. And it will cost me about the same to metro home and get it as it would to go up to Subway and buy a sub. And I am really not trying to spend frivolous money at this point...dangit.
Third, I decided it would make the most sense to drive to the metro today, since I am trying to hit the beltway ASAP tonight and if it's pouring down rain, that would not be a fun walk home. So I decided to go one stop farther and walk over here to try to get some walking in. However, when doing this, I forgot to take into account issue #1 above, the blisters. So now my feet hurt even worse. Boo.
My boss is taking a "mental health day" today, which means I am on my own again. I have procrastinated and procrastinated since I don't have a ton of stuff to do today, but I think I'll be able to amuse myself for a few more hours. We'll see...
