Well today is starting off pretty gross for me. First, it's rainy-drizzley-icky out as I walk to the metro. Then I get here and go downstairs to get my youth hostel ready for this group tomorrow. There's a window open in the ladies room--with dirt EVERYWHERE. So I clean that up. Then I notice that the toilet is clogged. And someone has used it. Bleh. So I get that fixed. Then I go to put new light bulbs in and get covered with dust when I take the globe off the light fixture. THEN, I find roaches. Not roach. RoachES.

Good: All the roaches were dead.
Bad: There were roaches.
Worse: Like SIX of them.
Worst: Six was the number of WHOLE ones.

I vacuumed up pieces of I don't know how many others. EW! I am thinking that there were so many though because we've gone almost a month without people down there, so they all come out and die. When people are there, I think they die and the people throw them out. That's what I am going with!

did you know that you can cut the head off a roach and it will live for about anouther 10 days ! On a PBS program last week about hotel and bugs they also said that if you see 1 roach in your home chances are there are a 1000 or more in the walls . Just thought you might like to know. This scientist also said that you should never put your luggage on the floor of a hotel but always up on something snce the bugs ( roaches and bed bugs ) can crawl into the luggage & you bring them home . FYI

Oh, I guarantee there are about a zillion roaches downstairs. The Orkin guy said that they always come out of the walls to die. I don't like that part.
