This weekend was crazy busy and next weekend is even more hectic!! SO much for not having a lot to do in my life!!
Friday G picked me up at the College Park metro station and we got Slurpees (but not good ones--booo) and then headed over to the Comcast Center to watch the MD Volleyball team. They are freaking GOOD. Undefeated right now and pretty dang impressive! Erik and his friend Orte and Jes were supposed to meet us, but Jes got caught up in class, so they didn't get there until the second game. After a quick 3 game victory, we headed over to Franklin's for quite a yummy dinner.
On Saturday, G and I were thinking of going to the Maryland Renaissance Festival but we were up too late on Friday to make that happen. Instead, I got up and cleaned our apartment. I used a swiffer on the floor and when I finished it was BLACK with dust. Also lots of hair. Apparently we shed a lot! Then I dusted everything and cleaned the kitchen, not to mention vacumming my room and the downstairs rug. G called me to let me know that USC vs. Stanford volleyball was on Comcast, so I watched that for a while. Man, if we though the MD team was good, they can't hold a candle to those West Coast girls. They are SCARY! After that I got my stuff together and headed over to G's. We played some tennis and decided to quit just as it started to rain. Perfect timing! Back to his house for showers then dinner. We were supposed to get together with people and go out, but plans fell through, so instead we ended up at Giant where I bought cinnamon rolls and then Blockbuster where we rented "In Good Company" with Dennis Quaid and Topher Grace. It was a pretty good movie, and even G liked it! Not to mention how scrumptious the cinnamon rolls were!
Sunday I was up early to go to church and then afterwards Jes (who came home for church), Erik, Orte, Joe and I headed to Duclaw for lunch. Again with the yum food! (That seemed to be the theme of my weekend!) After lunch, Jes and I headed home where we discussed Jes's 21st birthday trip to Vegas. When she left to go back to school mom and I headed out to run errands. First to K-Mart to pick up my prescription, then the Dollar Store for church mission trip things, then to Target for a slipcover for my ugly loveseat, and finally Pier One for candles for work. Back home for dinner, then off to Youth Group. I had way tons of fun with the kiddos last night! They are such a good group of kids. Then I drove home and decorated for Halloweeny. Our place looks so festive! And I put the slipcover on, too, which also looks quite nice. A phone call from G ended my night and I was off to bed and TIRED.
I did a TON of stuff at work so far today and I have more to do tomorrow when my boss comes in. This Saturday is our church Service Day and we have 56 people coming, which means lots of work for Jen before the week is over!! On the plus side, I'll be earning a comp day, which will be used in January to go to Vegas. Awwww riiiiiiight! But until then....hectic-ness ensues!!
