Busy little bee

neebsSpeaking of bees, did you hear about that baseball game that got called because the field was overrun with bees? The pitcher said it was because of his "coconut oil hair gel." Wow.
This week has been busy busy busy for me. Tuesday night I went shopping for mom's bday present, and after 2 store I think I finally got something that works. George was a little stressed that night, so we didn't get to hang out. Boo. I also had a Diet Coke at lunch (noon) that kept me awake until after 2 o'clock in the morning. Apparently, I have effectively kicked my caffeine habit...
Wednesday was just terrific. Well except for the weather. My jeans got soaked walking from the metro to my office and never dried out. After work, I picked up George and we went to my mom and dad's for dinner. Homemade lasagna-yummy! Then G came to volleyball with me, which was totally fun. He did really well--I was impressed! And we had a lot of fun, which was good. Then, we stopped at Giant on the way to his house and got some ice cream. He had taped the UMD NIT game, so we watched it. (Side note: we played Davidson, and for those of you who remember my intern, Evans, he goes to Davidson. So we had a little trash emailing going on!) Anyway, the game was REEEE-diculous in the first half, but we finally pulled away. Thank goodness!! I got home laaaaaate and went straight to bed.
Yesterday (Thursday) I got a lot done at work. I also took the recycling home with me, which needed to be done. George met me at my house and we (meaning me =P) cooked dinner, then Kymmy came over and ate with us. We watched The Apprentice, which was interesting, and then some of The Office, which sucked, so Kymmy went home. George and I watched some NCAA basketball and some Wizards ball, and then he headed home way late again.
Today is going to be a hectic day. First, I was late getting to work to meet David for lunch because I had to pack to go home this weekend. Tonight is a rehearsal hair and make-up night for the bridesmaids in Rachy's wedding. Then tomorrow is "Celebrate Mom's Birthday" day, since neither Jes nor I were home on Thursday for her real birthday. Then Sunday is Easter, and George gets to spend alllllllllll day with us McClurgy's. Whoa. Monday I have the day off--except that I have a group coming on. Oh well!
All in all, it's been a good week with The Boy. I really had a great spring break with him. =)
