I just got an email to "update your journal slacker." So here we go...

This weekend was extra long for me, and totally fun! I'll start at Thursday evening. I met up with Kym and TJ for Ledo's pizza in College Park, then they dropped me off at the turf fields at UMD where I met up with George after he played a soccer game. We met up with his friend Eugene and went out to a bar for some St. Patty's Day drinks and some NCAA basketball. I got home late on Thursday night and went to bed.

Friday, George and I were going to meet up in the early afternoon, but we had a slight change of plans. So I went home early and did some shopping and got an Easter dress. Then G and I met up and ran some errands for him. He needed a new tail light bulb and 2 tag lights, so we went to Advance Auto Parts and I showed him how to find which bulbs he needed. I am so car smart. =P We ended up making pancakes for dinner, which was yummy. Although my syrup was from the last time Cohoon and I made pancakes (probably a year ago) and as we finished eating I noticed that the syrup said "refridgerate after opening" and I had it out for a year...but it doesn't seem to have had any negative effects! I forgot what we did for the rest of the night. I think we just hung out and chilled since we were both tired from the week.

Saturday I watched Legally Blonde 2 and Hope Floats and something else and cleaned my room. I met up with George later and then his mom took us and his sister and her friend out for BBQ at Red Hot & Blue. Yummy!!! Then G and I watched "Troy" with NAKED BRAD PITT!!!!!!!!!!!!! YUMMY!!!! I, of course, sobbed through much of it, as I am a big sissy. I went home to mom and dad's house that night.

Sunday I went to church with mom and dad, then went to the Dollar Store afterwards and got an Easter basket together for David (my friend here at The Pilgrimage). After an early dinner I did my taxes. I will be getting QUITE a hefty refund this year. Score!! Youth group was not fun, as I had to do both Senior and Junior High game night by myself. The Junior High kiddos--who are normally mine--were fine, but the Senior High kiddos don't listen to me. I finally let them play soccer and I had to play to even out teams and I got my finger jammed so badly by someone kicking me in the hand that at first, Clare thought it was broken. It hurt like the dickens. I couldn't start my car, it hurt so badly. I iced it when I got home, though, and it felt better. I also had mail waiting for me when I got home--a St. Patrick's Day card from my dad. It was cute.

My weekend continued on Monday, as I took the day off. I am aspiring to be like Cohoon before he got this job that he goes to every day. ;) George and I crammed all of our spring break fun into yesterday, and it was quite a day. We went to Great Falls, VA and hiked along the river, then had a picnic lunch. (Fruit salad I made, yummy sandwiches from Whole Foods, and Sun Chips.) After that, we headed over to Roosevelt Island, where there is a memorial to Teddy Roosevelt. Then we went to the FDR Memorial in DC, and walked around there a bit. THEN we went to Hains point and watched the planes take off, then we went to the weird man statue over there. (Pictures posted later, since I haven't downloaded them yet.) After that, we headed to my parents house and George saw the addition for the first time. He was duly impressed. Then Kelly and her new boyfriend Steve met up with us and we went to Annapolis for dinner. We went to Phillip's and were there for about 3 hours before we finally headed back. George and I got back to my house at 11:30, and hung out until one something. It was late.

This morning I rushed into work, and have been super busy up until now. We had lunch today with the National Coalition for the Homeless, which was good. I got back from lunch to find out that The Pilgrimage got an award from the Capitol Area Food Bank, so I will be accepting the award on April 28. Woo hoo! Tonight, I have NO idea what I am doing, but I need to go shopping for my mom's birthday which is Thursday. This is a busy week for me. I am excited! =)

Wow, he calls you 3 times a day?? Is Christy ok with you keeping him as a girlfriend even when you're married? ;)
