As the Dixie Chicks said, Long Time Gone
Mar. 14th, 2005 01:42 pmYeah, I've been crazy busy with life. My apologies for abandoning y'all this past week.
So, quick recap of last week: 3 groups, crazy times. I had a blast with 2 of the 3, and was much less than impressed with the third. It's been a hard transition into this week, where neither of the 2 groups seem as excited/into it as last week's groups did. That was always my problem at ASP, too, that transition from week to week when you had an awesome group and then...a group that is probably fine on their own, but compared to the week before, is just not as great. (And I know I shouldn't be comparing groups or people, but everyone does it, so leave me alone!! =P)
I got super sick on Wednesday, to the point where I left early, but still didn't make it home before I lost it. I ended up puking in a metro (subway) trashcan. Jes, you no longer are the only McClurgy to throw up in mass transportation trashcans!!! ;) I thought I was going to die on Wed, but I had to come in Thurs for a few hours and get stuff done for this week. During that time, MD lost to Clemson AGAIN and screwed themselves out of a NCAA bid. Stupid team. I left early on Thursday and came home and rested some more.
Friday I was at work for a few hours, then left and met up with my mom and Uncle Kevin, who George met 2 years ago. Crazy. He was in town with one of his high school atheletes who competed in a national tournament this weekend. They toured DC on Friday, and after I met up with them, we hit the Natural History Museum, American History Museum, WWII Memorial, Vietnam Wall, Lincoln Memorial, and Korean War Memorial. It was a crazy walk and my legs were feeling it. George came over for a few hours that night and we hung out and were silly, which was very fun and relaxing for me.
Saturday morning I cleaned our kitchen again, since it was again disgusting and apparently I am the only person that bothers. Then I was on a cleaning kick, so I finished cleaning the rest of my space. I laid around watching TV for most of the day, relaxing and taking it easy, then headed off to the new Target. I got "The Good Girl" with Jennifer Aniston and "Young Frankenstein" by Mel Brooks for $7.50 each and Season One of "Sex and the City" for $25. I was watching SATC when the sound died, and it turns out my stupid TV audio jacks are kaput. I guess I might need to invest in a new TV one day soon...
Sunday I headed to church and announced my mom's bday a week too early. Oopsies. I saw the CRAZY progress on the addition, then mom and I went shopping. I headed to work around 3:30, then was home by 7 after stopping for groceries. Nice. I watched some of the Wizards game (boo losing, but Yay Stevie for getting playing time) and then just kinda chilled out in my room. Oh, I also uploaded new pics, and those links will follow.
It's been a busy past week, but this week will slow down, of which I am most glad. George has 2 midterms this week (Tues and Thurs) so keep your fingers crossed for him. Hopefully this week I'll be back to posting on my very borind days!! =)
