merry Christmas Eve
Dec. 24th, 2003 09:14 amso i know that no one else is actually online or doing their journals, what with it being Christmas Eve and all, but my sucky job requires me to be here, and so this journal is purely for my own entertainment. so screw the rest of you. I LIKE WORKING ON MAJOR HOLIDAYS.
yeah right.
anywho, yesterday at work wasn't such an awful day and last night turned out SUPER. there were 5 people in Steve's (my boss) office yesterday yelling and screaming about some file that wasn't dealt with right, and i kept hearing my name and how i had screwed up or it was my fault, or i did something or other. meanwhile, i'm sitting at my desk and i can hear all of this and i'm thinking to myself "i didn't do that, that wasn't my job, i don't know what they're talking about" and Steve stuck up for me to everyone else. crazy.
after work, i went to George's house. he was supposed to play ball with a bunch of people, but they all bailed on him, so he, Mary and i went to Quizno's for dinner, then we watched the MD bball game (GO TERPS! we won. handily.) we kind of flipped back and forth between that and the Wizard's game, but they sucked, although Stevie is getting MAD playing time. he's a starter now. it's rather impressive. the game was over around 10, and i left around 10:30, so i was home and in bed by 11:15. the earliest all week!
while we were watching the game, G happened to notice that my right hand is deformed, which i had not noticed in all 22 1/2 (almost exactly!) years of my life. i am retarded. so now i have deformed hands to go with my mutant feet. great.
today should be an easy day. work til 12, then the company Christmas party with tons of food. hopefully i'll be out of here by 4, then it's back to my house to shower and pack, then off to the 'hood in G-brills for a Christmas Eve dinner of lobster and then church, then sleeeeeeep. sadly, the sleep is what i am most looking forward to on this joyous holiday occasion. i'm so old.
