my body is a toxic wasteland of sickness. i must have sneezed approximately 80 times so far this morning. and i never sneeze one at a time-no no, it's always like 3 or 4. and then my nose gets all drippy and gross. and speaking of noses, everytime i breathe out, my nose whistles. i must be annoying other people because i'm ready to beat the crap out of myself, i'm so annoyed. and all of this tops off a complete inability to fall asleep last night. i plan on spending somewhere around $50 at the grocery store tonight on medicine. maybe that will work.
other than that, this weekend was a blast. Friday night, George and i went to Vicky/Tracey/Sarah's graduation party. i had all of 3 Smirnoff Triple Black's and i was toasted. i like being in a mood to get drunk. it means i dont actually have to drink very much and can still accomplish my goal. ;)
Saturday i woke up at 9:50 to take Chris to the airport at 10. when i staggered upstairs at 10:02, he was not ready to go. apparently when he says "I need to be at the airport by 10:30" he really means "we can leave here at 10:30 to go to the airport." i got him back with my unsafe driving, though. after dropping him off, i came back home with the intent to take a nap, but i was charged and full of energy, so i cleaned like crazy, took a shower, then headed off to take care of some Christmas shopping in Laurel. after a CRAZY trip to Target (there are some crazy mofo's come the holiday shopping time, let me tell you!) i headed to George's. we ate lunch, hung around his house for a bit, then headed to Georgetown to finish my shopping.
George's friend Eugene's birthday was Saturday, so after Gtown, we headed to Eugene's house. we had SO MUCH to eat-steak, pork chops, bratworst, rice, biscuits, cookies, ice cream. it was goooooooooood. after that, we headed to Bethesda and ended up at the Barking Dog bar. now, i have never been to a bar in Bethesda, much less this specific bar. the girl in front of me had to show another ID to get in because the bouncer was sketched out by her license. when i hand him my license, he barely glances at it then stamps my hand and says "Welcome back." it was weird. i bought Eugene his first shot of the night (Dirty Bongwater shooter-tastes like a gummy bear!) and it was cute because he's the oldest and i'm the youngest. G had a lot to drink which was fun for me, since i've never really seen him drunkish. we all had a good time at the bar, although i wish i would have had more to drink so that i wasn't so freezing on the car ride home. i left G's house...late. i don't even know what time it was. all i know was i got home and was so tired. i set my alarm for 12:30 pm for Sunday, just in case i wasn't up, then fell asleep in about 2 seconds.
Sunday, i woke up, looked at the clock, and saw 9:50, so i put my head back down. i looked at it again since it felt so much later, and sure enough that 9 was actually a 12. i had slept through my alarm. i showered and headed off to my parent's house. when i got there, Jes asked me if i wanted to take Annie to Petsmart and get her picture taken with Santa, so we loaded her into the van and headed to Annapolis. Well. it turns out that our dog is terrified of Santa Claus. it took both Jes and i to be sitting with her, practically holding her down, to get the picture taken. she's probably traumatized for life. when we got home, we decorated the downstairs (live) tree, watched the Redskins suck, then headed off to dinner at Miss Heidi's house. she always has AMAZING food, and last night was no different. crab dip, shrimp, ribs, beef sandwiches...i was STUFFED! we exchanged xmas gifts with all of them, and i got a Kohl's gift card (SWEEEEEEEEEET!) and bubble bath. we turned on the TV for a little bit, but i had to leave in the middle of Titanic and get home, since i had about a half hour drive ahead of me and work today (boooooooo).
when i got home, i called George, who was playing Super Mario 3 for Nintendo with another friend. they beat the game, and then he had to go, so i watched the end of Titanic and sobbed like nobodies business. after that it was 11, so i figured it was time for bed. that's when the Night O' Tossing and Turning began. i'm amazed at how much energy one can have with no sleep. hopefully i won't pass out driving home tonight. i think tomorrow is going to hit me hard. i'm not so looking forward to it.
