i am so angry over this whole "ban gay marriage" garbage. if two people love each other, why shouldn't they be allowed to get married???? who cares if they're the same gender-does that mean that they don't feel the same or even more about each other than 2 people of different genders? i am sick and tired of the ignorant people that seem to thrive in the media and politics that are CLEARLY homophobic. i will bet you anything these are the exact same people that stand up and scream bloody murder over racism or sexism. how can you be so close-minded as to say that gays do not deserve the same rights as everyone else?? i just don't understand how anyone with any semblence of intelligence can support this idea (being the ban). people suck.

I am SO WITH YOU on this. So it's unconstitutional to bear ill will against someone because of race, background, skin color, and gender. Oh what was that? Baking powder? Was that....gender? We've been through so much already concerning prejudice. The controversey surrounding the Gay, Lesbian and Bi community is realy unecessary. So it's all right for straight man to sleep around with as many women as possible, because that just makes him more manly. But as for two men who love each other and want to get married?! A definite freak show to the American public. How sick is that. A man comitting to a woman is wonderful, but a man comitting to a man is a sin. Nothing has changed but the gender. It's really not that intense, people.

You guys are correct. Too bad the people making the laws don't agree with us. I often wonder if the laws will get changed as the current politicians die out and our generation takes over.

I've never heard a good argument (to my tastes) that supported banning gay marriage. It's always "just wrong" or something like that. When I was taking philosophy classes the teachers always answered that argument with an 'F' because it begs the question.

Yeah I was talking to Danny about this, and apparently he got an email from his church in the Annapolis area that was calling the church family to "fight back against this evil wrong doing" of a law by having a public rally against it. For the love of all things good and holy, people need to CHILL OUT! The only real excuses I have heard are examples from the Bible that say things like "for a man to lay with another man is a *some big word that starts with an "a" and means bad thing*". But you know what? The Bible also says a lot of other things that our society doesn't exaclty hold true to, not even religious people. For example, in Collosians (just know this because of my Bible study) it says people should not be greedy. But isn't that the basis of capitalism? And isn't our entire country founded on such principles? So why do certain people get to pick and choose which parts of the Bible they will follow and consequently make laws that force the rest of the population to follow their own selections from the good book. It's just wrong I tell you, and I hate hearing people talk about this issue because they are so ignorant about it. In case you couldn't tell.
