ahhh...friday. at last.

neebs*warning: this entry will ruin Friends and ER. if you haven't yet seen it, and you want to, don't read this first!!*
so on Friends, Monica and Chandler found out that they're going to be getting a baby. YAY!!!!!!! I had tears in my eyes when they told us, even though we all knew it was coming.
ER last night was CRAZY!!!! big shout out to my TNL (thursday night lineup) buddy Dan, who probably has several permanent scars from me diggin my fingernails into his arm last night. needless to say...it was INTENSE!!! last year (or maybe 2 years ago) Dr. Romano had his arm chopped off by a helicopter. oh boo hoo. he is the epitome of jackass, and everyone hates Dr. Romano, so i was most sad at that episode when they didn't just kill him off completely. in a note of irony last night, there was a big helicopter crash, and the whole thing landed right on Dr. Romano in the street. WOO HOO!!! very dramatic and fitting end to the most hated character on television. (please note that while i was happy to see him off the show because of how much i despise his character-which to me makes him one of the most talented actors EVER since he can get so under your skin like that-i would NEVER EVER EVER wish death upon someone in real life. i'd just like to clarify that. thank you.) and Abby the nurse-turned-med-student saved the life of Susan's ex-husband, who i see dropping the ex soon. yay. then, just when you think it's over, and Abby's thinking about everything that's just happened, and the camera fades to a shot of Carter-who you just KNOW is thinking of Abby and planning on returning to Chicago and the show, thereby making my life much happier, as he is HOT-and then, out of nowhere, comes...ANOTHER GIRL!!! half-naked, at that. CARTER IS SLEEPING WITH ANOTHER GIRL!!! ok, now i KNOW that Carter and Abby technically broke up, but STILL!!! it just broke my heart, i tell ya.
after that heart-wrenching story, it was time for me to head home. i happened to drop George a line on my way home, and he was out at the Giant, which is about 5 mins from Dan's house, so I stopped by and met up with him for a little bit. i managed to impress him not once, but twice last night by 1) spitting my gum extremely unladylike into the bushes, and 2) shoving an ENTIRE cookie into my mouth, chewing, and swallowing. (clearly that "impress" was sarcastic.) our little 5 minute meeting up to say hi turned into about an hour, so i ended up leaving Burtonsville around 12:20. since i am the Queen of Geography, i also managed to go the complete wrong way on 29, which George noticed. he called me and told me i could pick up 32, and i realized it would be way out past the NSA building, but i didn't really have a choice at that point. interestingly enough, i actually got home in LESS time than normal. mostly, i think that was because it was 12:30 at night, there was nobody on the road, and my car likes to drive 85 miles per hour. i was a little nervous about the billions of deer i saw lining the roads. i just knew they were waiting for that magic signal where they would all jump into the road at the same time, but lucky for me, the signal never came. i made it home A-OK and was in bed by 1.
today, i am ready to roll. i don't really feel tired at all, knock on wood, but i'm sure that won't last! i let myself hit the snooze button this morning, since friday traffic always flies, and i left 10 minutes later than normal and was not disappointed. the parkway was a beautiful sight, with the average speed at about 65. i even went the long way to work, since i was going to be early. today shouldn't be too bad, and even if it is, who cares, cuz IT'S FRIDAY, BABY!!!!
