Quick update
Jan. 3rd, 2006 05:13 pmThings didn't go exactly as planned, but it was all good.
Friday I was at G's house helping to get all the food ready for the party and WOW there was a lot of food!!
Saturday I ended up staying the night at G's after the last guest left around 3:30. A FABULOUS time was had by all, though! His mom introduced a little Greek tradition into things at midnight, which was great. MY mom was HILARIOUS when I called to say Happy New Year. My phone doesn't work in G's house so I had to use his, which is an unfamiliar number to her. When she answered the phone and I said "Happy New Year!" my mom replied "Where are you??? Have you been ARRESTED?!?!?!" That amused me!
Sunday I ran home and was gone from G's for about 1 1/2 hours to shower and change and then it was back for his family New Year's Day party. Lots of food. TONS of food. WAAAAAAAY too much food. I was stuffed!!!
Monday I got up, took down Xmas decorations, then headed home to do some shopping with Mom. Dinner with Jes, Erik, her friend Evan and then headed to Wheaton to meet G for some walking at Wheaton Plaza. We went into Finish Line and I found the cutest yellow and baby blue New Balances and asked if they had them in a Women's 11, since NO ONE ever does. Well....they did. And I tried them on. And I love them. Present tense, because I bought them and wore them today. My credit card bill did NOT need that. Eeps.
Today was busy but productive at work, including a jaunt down to Staples to get ny 2006 wall calendar to see how busy I am. Tomorrow should be just as productive, with a group arriving around 5 to help motivate me to stay!!
