I'm back....for a little while at least
Dec. 14th, 2005 11:35 amI've been MIA lately.
On Thursday I went to work feeling just fine. Around 11 I got a headache. Like a tear-your-brain-apart-with-no-regard-to-how-much-it's-going-to-hurt type of headache. It was migraine strenth and migraine pain, but usually with my migraines I get SUPER sensitive to light and I was fine except for the pounding in my head. As I got up to go look for Advil, I ended up feeling like I was going to throw up so I went running down the hall to the bathroom. I ended up lying down on my boss's futon and I had to call G to come pick me up. It was awful.
I still felt icky on Friday, but I made it to work for a few hours, despite the snow day. Woo comp time! Friday night G made dinner for Dan, Rach and I and we played TriBond. That was good times.
Saturday my mom and dad took G and I out to a fancy dinner for Xmas, then we went to my cousin's play. THey did "Scrooge the Musical." It was creepy. I am used to the muppet or animated Disney version, but the real one...scary. One of the scenes is Hell. Gah.
Sunday I skipped church because I still wasn't feeling great, but then went home afterward. I got a new camera since mine broke on Wednesday night, but when I got home I realized it wasn't what I wanted. We went caroling for youth group, which was fun, except for the obnoxious child that made me use my teacher voice. And I hate doing that.
Monday night I drove back to mom and dad's house.
Yesterday I had a docotors appointment and then went and got new contacts and glasses. I finished my Christmas shopping and returned my camera to get the one I wanted. I headed to G's house for dinner then went home and watched the end of "Love Actually" with Tania, Kym and TJ before going to bed.
My new glasses are a waaaaaay different prescription than what my old ones were, given that the old ones were 6 years old. No change in the contacts, so that's fine, but the glasses are giving me headaches and making me dizzy-ish and I am still not back to feeling 100% so it's not a great feeling.
Tonight is dinner out with G, tomorrow is staff lunch for work and Friday is my lunch with David. No wonder I've put on 2 pounds in the last year (per my docotor's visit).
