I have this irrational fear of dogs.

I have a dog. Not a small dog. Annie is an 85 pound black lab. Friendliest dog you have EVER met, but still, a big dog.

Yesterday as I was walking home there was a boxer off a leash. This dog was about the size of Annie. For some reason, I froze. The owner was about 20 feet away from the dog, talking to someone in their car, so it's not like this dog was just randomly running around, but my heart was still beating like crazy and I couldn't bring myself to just walk toward the dog. I ended up going the long way around the block to get to my apartment.

Probably no one cares, but I've never frozen like that before when it comes to dogs, so it was a weird experience for me.

I am ready for summer again. And it's been cold for four days. Man, I am screwed this winter! Read on for the weekend update...

On Friday G and I went to Montgomery Mall and grabbed a disappointing food court dinner (shocking, I know =P) and walked around a bit. We hung out with Tania and Kym and TJ when we got back, then everyone went to bed.

My mom was in Atlanta this weekend, so on Saturday I spent the day with my dad. We went to the Scottish Festival and waded through the mud to see the bagpipe bands, the Scottish Dance competition (like Riverdance, but to bagpipes), and the sheep herding presentation. On the way home we listened to the MD game, and over dinner we watched Wisconsin lose. That was sad. We watched the start of the Penn State game, then headed out to Laurel to see Splintered Image play. We met up with Kym, Meg, Tania, Vivian and G, and we had a fun time. My dad didn't even hate the music that they played. Good thing he and G brought their earplugs! I finally had to ask my dad to leave around 1. Talk about a party animal! The most important part of the night was that I had a Bacardi Strawberry and YUM!!!!!!! It tasted just like strawberry soda and it was So. Good.

Sunday I went to church with Jes and Erik, then we grabbed lunch before heading home. I ran all kinds of errands and was gone for about four hours. Back for a quick dinner, then off to youth group where I made 110 chocolate chip cookies with some of the kiddos for dessert for the Shelter Meal. After that it was home and Tania made some chocolate chip cookies that I got to eat, which was most excellent.

On Monday, I actually took the day off. Go me! I got up early and went for a run, then came back, showered and went grocery shopping, at which point I had nothing to do at 11:00 in the morning. I was meeting G for lunch at 2, so I spent some quality time watching MTV. Gotta love My Super Sweet Sixteen. After lunch with G, we decided to play tennis. After tennis, we decided to go to the library where I borrowed Harry Potter 4 so I can reread it before the movie comes out. After we went to the library, he asked me to stay for dinner. After dinner we decided to do more hanging out, so my little one hour lunch turned into an eight hour day with the boy. *Sigh.* I was so happy!!

Yesterday I was CA-razy busy at work which as you all know is rare for me! I had a headache from staring at Excel all day, but I sucked it up and got to go out with Vivian, which was fun. We went to Silver Diner and I had angel food cake with strawberry topping and it was SO good. Even better than the Bacardi from Saturday night.

Today has been pretty good so far. I'm heading out early to go to mom's house for dinner before volleyball, which I am hoping goes well today. I don't feel like I have a ton of energy though--I fell asleep when I hit snooze this morning, which I never do--but hopefully I will get some by this evening.

I don't like the new three year old teacher. Here's the latest...

Imagine her voice getting louder and louder until she shouts the last word of this sentence: Tommy, you need to stop YELLING.

Yes, I often yell at people to make my point about not yelling.
