neebsI'm at work today. But I'm not in my office. I can't be in my office. The server dudes are in my office. They were supposed to finish on Friday (which is why I took Friday afternoon off) but they didn't and now they are still here and working on things. Working slowly, apparently. But that's ok, I don't have a ton of stuff to do. Well, then again, depending on what's in my email, I might! But for now, I'm in Ashley's office on her computer using the internet because that's what our office administrator told me I should do! I decided that if it's really snowing as crazily as it is supposed to this afternoon around 2 and the server guys are still here...I am leaving. So. That's the plan!
This past weekend was great! Friday I met my board member for lunch at Austin Grill and I had a great time. She's a producer for the Discovery Channel and has led SUCH an interesting life. It was really fun to get to know her. Then G picked me up and we went for a little drive around the area before heading back to his house. His sister's friend brought her puppy over and SO MUCH CUTENESS ensued. Especially with G playing with the puppy. Cuteness overload!! When we were done playing with the puppy, G and I set up his train in the living room and had fun playing with it. For the record, I am not a very good train driver! After that, we headed to Gint to pick up some food and YUM it was good. Steamed shrimp from Gint, chicken and potato wedges from the Amish Market, Greek salad, bread, and I can't remember what else. YUM!!!! I think we just kinda sat around stuffed for a while after that, but again, I can't remember.
Saturday was a totally chill, relaxing day for me. I woke up late (noon) and lazed around. I did clean my bathroom and vacuum my room and change my sheets, though. I also watched all of the episodes of Diddy's "Making the Band" which was great because I am now caught up and ready for the finale. Not that I am addicted to MTV or anything! After that, Tania and I watched some TV and then I got ready to go out and then while I waited for G to pick me up, Kym and Tania and I watched some TV. G and I went with his sister and two of her friends to this really good and swanky and authentic Italian resturant for dinner and then hit up the mall afterwards. Mary and her friends went their own way and G and I headed to Silver Diner for dessert. Oreo malt for him and angel food cake with strawberries for me. More yumness ensued. We got home and watched "The Wedding PLanner" with Tania and then it was sleepytime.
I went to church on Sunday morning and Jes showed up, which was a nice surprise. Then I headed out to pick up some prescriptions and hit up the Dollar Store because really, I am addicted! I got these super cute porcelain gingerbread houses that I absolutely adore!! When I got home, I helped Dad hang outside Christmas lights and then we went in when it got too cold. Grandma called as we were getting ready for dinner and mom and I spent almost an hour and a half on the phone with her trying to talk her through uninstalling and then reinstalling MS Office onto her computer. It's really hard to try to tell someone what to do when they have NO idea what you're talking about. Instead of saying "Close the window" you have to tell her to "X the rectangle." She doesn't have a "minimize" she has a "minus." Quite hilarious, but a little frustrating at the same time! UMYF served refreshments for the Christmas pageant and then after a quick grocery shopping trip it was over to Joey's for "Family Guy." I got home and talked to my boy for a while then it was straight to bed.
Today we are supposed to get three to six inches of snow, which is...well, it would be good except that I HAVE to be at work tomorrow by 11. Which is NOT so good if the metro isn't running. G said he would help me figure something out if I needed to. He's such a good boy to me!!
