God-incidence strikes again!
Nov. 16th, 2005 11:34 amEvery once in a while, just when I think that I am not really doing anything to impact people and help change the world, I get a gentle reminder that I AM, in fact, doing my part. Here's an exerpt from a feedback email from one of my groups:
My students were impacted much more deeply by our experiences in DC than I would have predicted. They came back with a deep desire to have some kind of an impact on homelessness in our community and beyond. I have four groups working vigorously on various aspects of the issue. One group is raising money for a local homeless shelter that is operating on a shoestring budget, another group is doing direct service at that same shelter, a third group is attempting to raise awareness of homelessness on our campus, and a fourth group wants to address legislators about homelessness.
I love it!!!!
