No more palm trees

neebsI just got back from Florida this evening. My mom went down about a week ago to spend some time with my Grandma and I decided that I needed a vacation before my busy summer started so I went down and met up with them. I saw what I will be like in 30 years and 60 years. It's a little terrifying! I had a good time down there, though. We went to the pool one day and the beach another. I spent four days in sunshine and 95+ degree weather while back here at home it was 50 degrees and raining. I am not sad that I missed all that! (Of course, it's supposed to be 50 and raining all through Memorial Day weekend, but oh well.) We also went shopping twice, which was AWESOME!!! I got fun new clothes and a hot new purse and lovely jewelry. I love visiting with Grandma!
It was nice to spend some quality time with her. I don't really have a super close relationship with her, since she was in Wisconsin or Florida and we're in Maryland. Sometimes I get a little jealous of my friends who have family in the area and are always seeing grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. But it was fun to get away from things for a little bit and be in the sunshine, so I guess there are some perks to having a Grandma in Florida!
