The first of three

neebsI currently have three planned journal entries for today. So here goes number one...My Weekend Update.
Friday, I left work and hustled over to George's house before we lost the sunshine. We played tennis for about 45 minutes before I got too cold, and then we played some basketball for a little while to warm up. I was making a bunch of shots at basketball, which never happens, so I was very excited! After that, we went back to his house and he made dinner while I took a shower. He, his mom and I watched "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" (HP2), but all three of us were exhausted and I think we all might have fallen asleep at some point!
Saturday I woke up to crazy monsoon-like rain! I was supposed to go to Rachael's house to help make wedding favors, but when I called her she said it would be ok to not come, since the rain was reee-diculous. I did some stuff around the house, then ran some errands, and then sat around my house until George came over. We hung out at my place for a while before meeting some Greek friends of his for dinner at Rock Bottom in Bethesda. I've met a couple of them before and they're all super nice. The funniest part of the night was that George was wearing a South Africa rugby jersey and not one, but TWO different people (who weren't there together!) came up to him and asked him if he was from South Africa (no) or if he played rugby (no) or if he had any plans to play one day (no). It was very random. We all went back to my apartment to watch the end of the UNC-Michigan State game. It's a 10 minute drive to my apartment from the bar, and when we left, UNC was down by 1. By the time we got to my place, UNC was up by 15 and never looked back. We also got into an interesting discussion on religion and the pope and stuff.
On Sunday, I was too tired to go to church, so I didn't. (Don't worry, God smote me for it later--I broke my sunglasses again. =/) Youth Group was early, since it was a girls/boys day out. The ladies went to get our nails done and then to Jasper's for dessert while the boys played video games and ate pizza. My toes are now "Metallic Denim" and my finger nails are hot pink. I love it! I had strawberry shortcake for dessert, which was SO DANG GOOD!!! Youth group went waaaaaaaay later than expected, so I didn't get to help Rach with the favors again. Apparently they had plenty of help and got them all done, though, so it wasn't a huge deal that I couldn't be there. After I called Rach, I headed home and spent some time with mom and dad. Spent a LOT of time with mom and dad, actually! It was good, though. I finally got back to Rockville around 10:30, and talked to George for a while before going to bed.
Today has been good so far. My groups did a great job cleaning, and I am THRILLED about that! I've gotten all but one thing done on my to-do list, and I am just waiting until after lunch to make that call. Tonight is the big UNC-Illinois game, and I don't exactly have plans for it, but George might have some people over. We'll see.
