it's friiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiday

finally. the weekend is almost upon us. and oh what a wonderful weekend it will be.

tonight: graduation party for my December graduate kiddos
tomorrow: Christmas shopping followed by Eugene's 24th birthday bash
Sunday: putting up the live tree at my parent's house, followed by dinner with the fam

and all of this with people who are very important to me and make me happy. AND NO WORK. yay. =)

yesterday turned out really great, too. i left work at 5:15, which made me not a happy camper, but i had a message from George about my dinner plans. as soon as i got on the parkway, i dropped him a line and he told me he had time for dinner. YAY! (apparently his sis had studying under control, and he wasn't too dead from only getting about 4 hours of sleep in the past 48 hours.) we met at my house, where G surprised me with a beautiful bunch of flowers [insert "Awwwwwwwww" here] then went to Chick-fil-A in Waugh Chapel (not Watch Apple) for dinner, then back home where we met Dan for Friends.

*tangent: ALL WEEK LONG, there have been commercials for a new Friends episode. THEY LIED. it was a repeat. and it was funny, but i am ready for new shows. this is getting ridiculous.

Dan was pretty tired from his week of projecting and finishing school and since everything was sucky repeats, he left halfway through Will & Grace. George hung around for a little while longer, which was nice since it gave us a chance to spend time together for the first time in two weeks.

so far today, work has been extremely stressful. i don't think there is enough emphasis in the world to accurately describe "extremely." and it's only 10:30. crap. i need a new job. badly.

Those are lovely flowers and I'm glad you got them. But did you have to put them in that particular glass?

1) we? did you bring a lady friend home?

2) yes, it had to be that glass. it was the only one that wouldn't tip over. i tried others. besides, you can't do shots of 151 out of that glass. i don't think there is enough floor space for all the pudding it would take to get you off the pool table if you did that...

3) WHY ARE YOU HOME ALREADY?!?!?!?! DO YOU EVER WORK 8 HOURS A DAY LIKE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO???

1. We as in all that is Christopher Grant Cohoon, the epitome of humankind. That and I'm hearing voices again.

2. Pudding on the floor isn't funny, it just downright sad.

3. I wasn't technically at home. There had been something bothering me for a little while so during lunch I sat down and meditated. I had a vision of turmoil in the kitchen so I left my body to see what was wrong. I could never had known that it would be so horrid. That is a sacred glass used only for sacred (alcoholic) drinks. Putting flowers in it is just wrong. I thought this would be self evident, akin to not setting a cat's tail on fire. You just don't do something like that.
And to answer your question, yes I do work 8 hour a day. There was even a day three years ago when I stayed late to help someone out.

Uh-oh. I am mentally inventory-ing the "bar" upstairs. There are a lot of bottles, but no 151. Do I need to make a trip to the ABC store before you get here? We don't have any pudding snacks, either... ;)

No need to get any 151. I usually don't drink things that have multiple flammability warnings. Just special occasions (next being New Year's Eve I predict). Absolute and orange juice (no pulp, low acid) is my drink of choice. Just the regular Absolute not any of that fancy-shmancy frilly-french looking stuff.

Oh, man. That stinks. I just bought two things of OJ earlier today. I opted for some pulp, because I didn't know which way to go. I actually stood in the grocery store and had that debate with myself in front of the refrigerator case (not out loud). I should have known, though, 'cause it's you. *shaking my head* Fortunately, that's easy to remedy. I have a strainer.

As for the Absolute, I will hide the Peppar and the Kurrant flavors so you can't make fun of me while you're here.
