you may THINK this is random....but it's not
*there is a common theme to the madness that is about to be the rambling of this journal. i swear.*
-so unlike most of the rest of the DC area, i have to go to work today. i decided that i was leaving late and i just did not care if i got to work on time or not. i left 15 minutes later than usual, filled my car up with gas, picked a most excellent radio station, and FLEW to work on the parkway. yay for people taking the day off and not driving to work in rush hour! and i even got to work on time...8:00 on the dot!
-once my radio station went to commercial, i decided to pop in a CD. i put in my "Fun Mix", turned it on expecting to hear the first song...and heard song #7. somehow, i have managed to set my CD player to "random mode" and i have not a clue how to turn it off. yes, i am a retard. no, you did not need to piont that out. i fully realized it myself. at least i had a good laugh already this morning.
-some song lyrics to compare:
Jackie De Shannon, What the World Needs Now
"What the world needs now/is love, sweet love/it's the only thing that there's just too little of."
Wynonna Judd, What the World Needs Now
"What the world needs now is love/love and only love/a little help from up above."
these songs were written DECADES apart, yet the message is still the same: less hate, more love. 30 years between these songs, and nothing's changed? that just makes me sad.
and now you all know the thought processes that go on in my head on Wednesday mornings. have a wonderful Turkey Day, and be sure to count your blessings and really know what it is that your thankful for. and i would endorse maybe even telling people that you're thankful for them or for what they do for you. spread the love, people. spread the love.
*and the common theme was....music!*

Can't resist
This will probably make you even more sad, but I think a big part of Jesus' message was less hate, more love. That was 2000 years ago. Same message. But, it's ok. At least you now have a clue about how to live your life. I also think that there is more love and acceptance in the world now. It's not perfect but I think it is on the right path.
I am very thankful for my family and friends (yes, including you). Not only do you guys make me laugh but you inspire me to be a better person, which is hard considering how great I am to begin with.
