da wah diddy diddy dum diddy do

i've decided that it's fun to make subjects out of song lyrics. stay posted to see what other fun tunes i come up with...

yesterday, work flew by. it was GREAT. i met up with george in CP and we went to dinner at Applebee's (i MUST recommend the Chicken Roma Wrap-it was quite delicioso) and then sat on the fountain on the mall...it was really nice. neither one of us had ever really just hung out on the mall, so we decided that it's nice to do things once you've grajeeated that you never did when you were an undergrad. and for all you undergrads left out there-it's nice. you should try it.

before we went to dinner, i got a surprise phone call...mom and dad were home from WI! originally, they were sposed to be home tonight, but they decided to leave early without calling me. it's a good thing i'm a precious little angel and don't do bad things, since i didn't know they were coming. if they had called me first, i would have vacuumed and otherwise cleaned, though, so...oh well. that's what they get for not calling. i got home about 9 to find only dad home. upon discussion, i learned that mom had taken jes to the doctor. she's been sick for a while, and when they called to tell her they were home she was feeling pretty bad, so they picked her up and took her to the doc. she got home and was looking and feeling pretty chipper, so i called her a big faker...and then another wave of ickyness hit her, and she was down for the count. i felt bad for having called her a faker, especially since she turned a nifty shade of green...

work so far today has been rather sressful. once again, i am getting yelled at for thing that are NOT my responsibility and that i do NOT know how to fix. it is rather annoying. one of these days, i'm thinking of not actually fixing the problem, and then when they scream at me i can say "well how in the dickens am i supposed to know how to do this? IT'S NOT MY JOB. but if you pay me a little bit more...it could be." mwahahaha. or i'll probably just keep doing what i do. *sigh* yep. that's probably what it'll be. i'm such a softie.

You should be nicer to your sister

I can't believe you called her a 'big faker'. That was so not nice, especially since she is practically on her deathbed. Although I must admit that I think it would be a neat trick if you could make her turn green on command.

You should use the famous Chris Cohoon approach at work. When someone yells at you or tells you something you don't want to hear just look them in the eye with an emotionless face, pause and say, "Hunh." The set up is really important for getting the full effect. While you are pausing an added twist would be to blink once or twice, just not rapidly and make sure you space the blinks out. You want them to walk away feeling that you know what they said had absolutely no importance or relevance to anything in life. Give them the idea that you think they just made the world a worse place by saying what they said.

So I just read through your journal after a rousing dolla bud. Wait.. not really.. it was dead.. its the week before Thanksgiving.. everyone has work to do cept for the dumb Humanities majors that will make 25 cents when they graduate but will take one for the team and live in MD even though they think the state is silly. Oh wait.. that's me. :) Anyway.. YAY for me being mentioned on Saturday.. I know that brightened EVERYONES day (hahahahahaha) and also, YAY for Saturns. I am poor at poo and thus, only have a 2002 cause it was wayyyy cheaper and still completely new, so no ION for me, but as one very intelligent girl told me, silver Saturns are the way to go. ; ) Ok.. My real degree is in philosophy. I just do this boring computer nonsense because it is easy money.
